The height of Mount Fuji is 3,776 meters. The ascent can be undertaken by anyone with good health and minimal physical preparation. However, one should not take the ascent lightly. Cases of discomfort due to the high altitude are not uncommon, so it is important to wear sufficiently warm clothing, comfortable footwear, and rain protection. All necessary items can be purchased or rented at the 5th station of Mount Fuji. We provide all participants with a detailed checklist for preparations.
The official climbing season for Fuji is from early July to mid-September when the trails and mountain huts are open. It is recommended for anyone with limited mountain climbing experience to undertake the ascent during the official climbing season.
07:30 Bus transfer to the fifth station of Mount Fuji.
10:00 Arrival at the 5th station.
Free time for lunch and acclimatization. Here, sports equipment can be rented, and supplies of food, water, and oxygen can be purchased.
11:00 Start of the ascent to Fuji via the Yoshida trail. The Yoshida trail is the most popular, featuring the most mountain huts, toilets, and opportunities to buy water and supplies. It offers the best views of the sunset and is well-suited for beginners.
The trail is well-marked, and it is possible to climb without a guide. However, if you have limited climbing experience or this is your first ascent, we recommend the services of a guide (either in a group or individually, in English or Russian). A guide sets the right pace for the ascent, monitors your health, and makes the experience more enjoyable and secure.
18:00 Estimated arrival time at the 8th station.
In the hut, everyone sleeps in sleeping bags. There are no beds, only spaces on Japanese-style tatami mats. Everyone sleeps in one large room. Separate "rooms" (small spaces separated by curtains) are available at the 7th station, but we do not recommend this option as it is less convenient for the ascent.
Accommodations may seem less comfortable (sleeping side by side with strangers). However, by the time you arrive at the hut, you will appreciate having at least these amenities and will spend several hours resting without paying much attention to your neighbors.
02:00 or 03:00 Start of the ascent to the summit.
04:30 - 05:30 (the sunrise time depends on the climbing date) Witnessing the sunrise at the summit of Mount Fuji. If weather permits, a trek around the Fuji volcano crater.
06:00 Begin the descent.
11:00 Return to the 5th station of Mount Fuji.
12:00 Departure from the 5th station of Mount Fuji to FujiQ Highland Hotel.
13:30-15:00 Time for a self-paced lunch or to visit hot springs.
15:30-18:00 Bus transfer to Tokyo. End of the tour.
